Vision
To contribute to the development of Legazpi City to be one of the top 5 Convention City in Luzon relative to the provision of veterinary services in the animal industry of the city.
As mandated by the Local Government Code, the City Veterinary Office is in charge the development of the animal industry and all projects and services relative to the provision of veterinary services to the city, such as to regulate the keeping of domestic animals; regulate and inspect poultry, milk and dairy products for public consumption; enforces all laws and regulations for the prevention of cruelty to animals; and take the necessary measures to eradicate, prevent or cure all forms of animal diseases.
To realize a zoonotic disease-free environment (e.g rabies-free) and establish a class “AA” City Abattoir to ensure the meat consuming public with a “HALAL” meat and meat products fit for human consumption.
