The Office of Resettlement, Housing and Community Development formerly Urban Poor Affairs Office is mandated to implement RA 7279 – Urban Development and Housing Act (UDHA Act of 1992) particularly focusing on socialized housing and resettlement programs for the city’s underprivileged and homeless citizens and informal settlers.
Our Office commits to take charge of the disposition of lands acquired by the City Government intended as resettlement areas for displaced families due to development and evictions by virtue of court orders, and areas classified as danger zone. Further, we commit to identify and curtail nefarious and illegal activities of professional squatters and squatting syndicates….
