THE National Competitiveness Council (NCC), in cooperation with the USAID, has recently released the list of the most competitive cities in the Philippines wherein Legazpi was named into the 11th top spot.

NCC co-chair Guillermo M. Luz said that the selection was based on developed framework for local economic development and competitiveness; Identified a set of indicators for the framework; validated indicators at the city and municipal levels; and streamlined list of indicators validated.

In the ranking, Legazpi with a rating of 58.86 percent comes in the 11th place after Marikina (59.73 %), Naga City (60.53%), Olongapo City (60.63%), San Fernando, La Union (61.17%), Koronadal City (61.27%), Bacolod City (61%), Butuan City (63.89%), San Fernando (68.23), Iloilo City (68.23), and Cagayan de Oro City (72.09).
